Abigaille Batu-Tiako, 21, was crowned Miss Iowa 2024 in June 2024 in Davenport, Iowa. Abi earned scholarships totaling $10,950 including the following special awards:

• The Jessica Pray Patel VOCAL SCHOLARSHIP of $250 awarded to the vocalist with the highest score in talent

• The Preliminary ON-STAGE QUESTION Award of $200

Abi is a recent graduate of William Penn University in Oskaloosa, earning a Bachelor degree in business management and a minor in New Media/Communications.

Throughout her time as a student athlete, she was a seven-time all conference track and field athlete, six-time school record holder, two-time National Long Jump Qualifier, two-time Heart Player of the Week, and three-time Drake Relays competitor.

As Miss Iowa, her Community Service Initiative is The United Voices. She hopes to to launch a skincare business some day.
